passing, fleeting, fading quickly
time is here for a moment only.
like a sunshine’s kiss that fades so fast
so, catch each moment if you must.
soon your eyes will be hazy or glazed
so do not let your sight go to waste.
soon the music will be silently playing
so be careful with what you’re hearing;
soon your tongue will dull in a minute
so taste and drink to your soul’s limit;
soon all scents will grow dreary and meek
so be cautious with the aroma you seek.
soon your touch will be numbed and rough
so cuddle like you cannot get enough.
look and search the value past the plane
and you’ll never see the same again.
learn to listen while you are able still
for yonder all noise will fall downhill.
enjoy the grace placed in your desk
for a grateful heart is beyond blessed.
breathe each aroma you so desire
for each fragrance will soon expire.
hold unto those you love the most
keep them close as you are supposed.
all your senses will soon fade in time
you will be left with no reason or rhyme.
the gift of now that you waste and burn
will never ever once more return.
